LSA 132: Topics in the phonology of Native American languages

This course will examine selected aspects of the phonology of Native American languages (with special focus on the indigenous languages of California). Topics to be covered include: complex segments (e.g., laryngealized consonants), consonant and vowel harmonies, stress, and reduplication.
