Daniel Büring

LSA 209: Intonation and meaning

Daniel Büring received his PhD from Tübingen University in 1997 with a dissertation on contrastive topic in German and English. He has since published numerous works on focus, topic and intonation, the syntax and semantic of binding theory, and various topics in formal semantics and the syntax-semantic interface. In 2000 he joined the faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he is now a full professor.
