LSA 318: Syntactic dependencies

Eric Potsdam is Associate Professor of Linguistics at the University of Florida and is currently serving as a Linguistics Program Director at the National Science Foundation. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1996 and specializes in syntax. His research interests include the syntax and semantics of non-declarative clause types (interrogatives, exclamatives, and imperatives), patterns of raising and control cross-linguistically, and the hidden cleft structure of wh-questions in numerous languages. He has recently been working on Austronesian languages, especially Malagasy.
